Ebay fraud and complicity complaint
Summary: collectsitems complains about a scam on EBAY, where a buyer claimed to have received an empty parcel. Despite the evidence provided, EBAY ruled in favor of the buyer and continued to charge non-refundable commission fees. collectsitems is considering legal action and is looking for information about the ombudsman and higher complaint services. *miss-tigri* suggests appealing to the FEVAD mediator. collectsitems thanks everyone for the help and says they are shocked by the situation.
Hello,
I’m a seller and I was scammed by a buyer over a parcel claimed to have been received empty, even though I provided EBAY with all the evidence: the weight of the parcel shipped/delivered, video, photos, the carrier’s testimony, etc., but it made no difference and EBAY closed the dispute in the buyer’s favor for an amount of €2,800.
Even more so because EBAY still keeps its commission fees on a sale that was fully refunded to the buyer, and not wanting to let a double injustice be in EBAY’s hands, I disputed the case once, and the decision was confirmed 1 hour later.
To add insult to injury, EBAY is claiming more than €400 in commission fees from me on a sale from which I didn’t receive anything, not even €0.01, it’s really the height of it.
I want to start legal proceedings, but I’d first like to know the following information:
- Contact details for the mediator to which EBAY belongs?
- EBAY complaint department at a higher level than the one accessible via their contact page?
I really intend to take EBAY to court for this well-known and repeated fraud in which EBAY is complicit with buyers.
Thank you for your kindness, I remind you that I’ve had an EBAY account since 2003, 23 years of service, only to be treated like this in the end? I won’t give up an inch.
Thanks for your messages and to the people who take the time to read me.
