Summary: regga0 expresses frustration about a negative review left on eBay that was not taken into account, questioning the impartiality of seller feedback ratings. *miss-tigri* explains that this may be because the seller successfully justified it to eBay. lingma85 points out that since 2008 buyer feedback has been positive only, which skews objectivity, and notes that sellers can have negative feedback removed according to eBay's rules.
Hello, I just want to point out that I’ve been an eBay subscriber for 20 years, and I have 100% positive ratings!
Yet for once that I leave a negative review for a shameless seller, my review was not taken into account and doesn’t even appear on the seller’s profile!
So I conclude that some sellers’ profiles are not objective and that rating notifications are biased and not representative.
Good to know when you have to buy that you shouldn’t trust eBay!
A site that takes exorbitant commissions and does a poor job of handling customer disputes...
eBay is no longer what it used to be now that it has gotten fat.
Just saying.

Mentor2 years agoHello @regga0
Your account is essentially a buyer account... (14 ratings as a seller)
- you should know that since 2008 buyers can only receive positive ratings... so this gives a partly distorted image and therefore not an objective one (which is what you criticize seller profiles for, as you write above...)
On the other hand, sellers have the option of having a negative rating removed --------> Seller performance policy and feedback | eBay
Kind regards

Mentor2 years agoHello
If the seller managed to get it removed, it means they were able to justify it to eBay ...
