Good evening, I’m writing because for several months now I’ve been receiving an email from Ebay saying that I owe 5 euros. I posted a listing for an item a very long time ago, there were people interested, etc... but I deleted the sale and the bids as well, so since July 12, 2024 I’ve just been receiving this. What should I do please? Because I absolutely didn’t earn anything from selling an item, and now I’m the one who has to pay, truly unacceptable!

I will not pay these damn 5 euros.

Should I worry about getting BIG trouble just for 5 euros? Should I ignore their email that I receive almost 2 to 3 times a week.

Since you removed the bids on a sale, eBay charged you for this non-sale as indicated in the link below---> Fees for private sellers | eBay

As for the fees... check with customer service here-----> eBay Customer Service by contacting them preferably during office hours and ask to be called back...

As for your fear of legal action.... it's up to you to take responsibility for your mistakes and don't count on the forum to give you a "twisted" way forward, that's not its role...

It's written word for word: free listings and you only pay transaction fees when your item is sold (commission on the final price, regulatory operating fees and international selling fees, if applicable.

Also I don't see the point of paying when I haven't sold "anything", just removing an auction, why do I have to pay fees lol?
