refund
Summary: mic5968 expressed disappointment following a refund for a purchase on eBay, saying that the seller had canceled the transaction because of an "incomplete address," even though the address provided, which he uses regularly, has always worked. *miss-tigri* explained that the seller could cancel the transaction without justification within 30 days, but agreed that a clearer explanation would have been preferable. mic5968 replied that the reason for the cancellation was bogus and suggested that a review of the shipping charges could have been discussed.
Three or four days ago I bought an item in the United States, 80 USD, I didn't haggle over the price, I could have, shipping costs 27 USD??. My purchase was accepted. Yesterday I receive a message from eBay, your purchase has been refunded, reason: incomplete address. My address is the PayPal address I regularly use for my purchases, without any problems. Clearly the seller realized that the 27 dollars would be a bit short for shipping to Europe.
I find the way they handled it a bit abrupt. Have a good day.

Mentor1 year agoHello
The seller can cancel the transaction up to 30 days after the sale, without having to provide a reason.

But it’s true that a little explanatory message would have been appreciated.😉

OP1 year agothanks for the reply. indeed, the reason "incorrect address" was false, the address was completely correct, which shows the seller's contempt for a buyer. a proposal to adjust the shipping costs would, no doubt, have been more appropriate. thanks.
