Hello, I would like to refund a buyer but the funds were taken by sponsoring my listing, even though I wasn’t aware of it. Basically, I sold something for €450 and my balance is €353, and I can’t refund the buyer because of the sponsoring. What should I do?
When you offer a refund to the buyer, the amount is deducted from the total of your available or processing funds. If those funds are not enough to cover the refund amount, it is paid from your linked bank account or using the payment method saved on your account.
For example, if you issue a refund of 100 EUR and you only have 80 EUR in available and processing funds, the bank account used for payouts or the saved payment method will be used to refund the remaining 20 EUR.

on eBay, there is no wallet.
Regarding sponsorship, it is not set by default on listings. It’s up to the seller to choose whether or not to use it.

How refunds work
When you offer a refund to the buyer, the amount is deducted from the total of your available or processing funds. If those funds are not enough to cover the refund amount, it is paid from your linked bank account or using the payment method saved on your account.
