A refund is made by following this process-------> Cancel an order as a buyer | eBay
If the item hasn’t been shipped yet and the seller has accepted your request... = there will be a delay caused by the banks because the refund follows the same path as the payment...
If the item has been shipped... = you’ll have to wait for delivery and send it back... see here----> Return an item to get a refund | eBay
This will also be the same process if you requested a refund without going through the link provided by the site...
