50 euros refund via eBay
Summary: chrival_2 describes having received the wrong drill after a purchase on eBay and that a 50-euro refund had been promised by the seller. *miss-tigri* advises that closing the dispute before receiving the refund was a mistake and recommends contacting customer service. koalagris points out that eBay, as a platform, is not responsible for the refund and that the agreement was directly with the seller, emphasizing the importance of not closing the dispute in order to keep recourse options.
eBay having acknowledged its mistake following the purchase of a drill press, it agreed to refund me 50 euros if I accepted the mistaken delivery. Indeed, I ordered a 2000W drill and I received a 1750W drill, so I agreed to keep the 1750W drill. On your proposal, you agreed to refund me 50 euros, which comes to the price of this drill simply. You closed this transaction, your representative specifying that this was necessary so that he could carry out this refund. Our conversations are recorded, you can see my good faith. As of today I have heard nothing more; could you be extremely kind enough to keep me informed about this refund to serve and assert my rights.
Best regards, Christian ****

Ebay doesn’t sell anything, so it doesn’t ship anything = it’s just a platform for connecting sellers and buyers.
At no point were you in contact with the site: it was the seller who agreed to refund you, and who did not keep their promise.
To have recourse with the site, you should not have closed the dispute.

Mentor4 months agoHello
I'm afraid your seller misled you.
You shouldn't have closed the dispute before the €50 refund.
Contact customer service, but in my opinion there is nothing left to do.
