partial refund and customer return
Hello,
Following a customer return request (foreign country)
I would like, as the seller, to cover the cost of the return label
but it is impossible to issue a refund
that is partial and less than 50% of the order amount.

Mentor1 week agoHello @seyvelivresetcie
if you want to advance the amount of the return shipping label to your buyer, that is not done by making a partial refund. You need to arrange it with them by sending them the amount of the return shipping costs.
See this link:
Return information (for sellers) | eBay
"Do the following to send funds to the buyer:
Contact the buyer in the eBay Messages section and ask how they would like to receive the funds to buy a return shipping label.
Send the funds to the buyer's preferred payment method.
Ask the buyer to confirm that they have received the funds and to upload the tracking information in the return request so that the returned item can be tracked."

Mentor1 week agoHello @seyvelivresetcie
Unless I’m mistaken... nowhere is it stated that you have to refund more than 50% of the order amount when you state the refund reason
Refunding buyers | eBay
The reason given is simply made up....
If you want to refund, for example, €20 in shipping fees for a €1000 sale... would you be forced to refund €500..???
That doesn’t make sense.

OP1 week agohello,
In the case where the return request has been accepted and the order is therefore awaiting customer return, it is impossible for me to issue a partial refund
Ebay message "You cannot refund this order to the buyer
You cannot issue a refund at the moment, as a return request is in progress for this order. customer service contacted but never a proper answer, I get transferred from department to department...
