eBay 10% discount not applied at checkout

I bought €500 worth of books on eBay. Normally until December 21, 2025, we had a 10% discount with the code "CADEAUX25" up to a maximum amount of €50. And in fact I got a message saying "code not applicable to your order," even though book purchases were accepted! What should I do? The seller is lovely and has nothing to do with it.
