Seller account restriction
Summary: teddybearchat discovered that his account has been blocked because he needs to switch from an individual seller status to a professional one, which surprised him since he hadn’t received any prior warning. He mentions that his earnings are modest and therefore doubts the need to change status. He suspects an eBay bug and is looking for help from the community. francexpressdeal suggests that he contact customer service, noting that restrictions on one account can affect any other accounts he may have.
Hello, I had the unpleasant surprise last night of discovering that my account was blocked on the grounds that I had to switch from a private seller status to that of a professional seller.
No way to get an explanation from Ebay, who nevertheless tells me that there are a certain number of us suffering this restriction (computer bug on their part ??).
I should point out that I did not receive any "warning" email beforehand and that I am up to date on the commissions owed to Ebay and have no disputes or anything else in progress.
In addition, the income generated by my sales does not amount to crazy sums, it is impossible to live off it (so goodbye to professional seller status).
Can someone help me, please?
Thanks for your insights and solutions.

Mentor1 year agoHello @teddybearchat
you clearly have multiple accounts:
https://communaute.ebay.fr/t5/Aide-entre-membres/Restriction-de-compte-vendeur/m-p/2950140#M54883
This is allowed by the site, but when one of your accounts is restricted, the others are affected too.
Only customer service will be able to tell you more.
