Restrictions on auction products
Summary: steph-ane expresses frustration about the restrictions imposed on their bids because of previous purchases that were not paid for on time due to a hospitalization. lingma85 explains that these restrictions come from a standard rule applied automatically, and suggests asking sellers to lift the restriction via an exemption list. koalagris points out that the right of withdrawal is 14 days, applicable only with professional sellers.
To this day I systematically pay for immediate purchases, or else I cancel them whenever we have the option to do so, either because it’s a counterfeit and I spotted it, or because I found it cheaper, and it is every buyer’s basic right to withdraw within seven days. So there is no reason to restrict me this way every time I bid on a product. .
Wishing you receipt
Kind regards

Mentor1 year agoHello @steph-ane
"it is every buyer’s common law right to withdraw within seven days" = ???
For info, the withdrawal period is 14 days and only applies to professional sellers, see the commercial code.

Since you haven't paid for at least 2 items in a rolling year, you can't bid with sellers who have configured their eBay accordingly... not to mention that you may end up on an unwanted buyers list...
- it's the same rule for all buyers who have defaulted and that, regardless of any reason that may seem valid to you, but which is a dealbreaker for the software that handles this issue.
You can try to convince sellers who would be open to your reasons by asking them to add your username to this list------>
