Return accepted but buyer who "lies"
Summary: migetflo is sharing an issue with a buyer on eBay who requested a return for a supposedly defective console. After receiving it back, the console works perfectly. migetflo wants a refund for the return shipping costs and asks for advice on how to report or dispute the issue on eBay. koalagris suggests checking an eBay help page and contacting customer service for assistance.
Hello.
Here’s the problem: a buyer who bid 2 times buys a PSP lot from me.
Upon receiving the item (same day) and to my great surprise, he asks for a return, claiming a faulty console (I test everything thoroughly, I’m surprised but I accept the return before the refund).
I pay for the return label.
And I expected it: the item is received and the console works perfectly.
After pressuring me about the receipt and the “all good?”, I reply that no, with photographic proof to back it up. I ask him for an explanation and, of course, it’s total silence and no response.
So here’s my question: ok, I accepted the return and I have my item. On the other hand, to me he is lying or changed his mind and I refuse the full refund: in fact, I’d at least like to be reimbursed for my return label because that’s taking it too far! Problem: I only have one button in the return details: manage the refund.
Where can I do what I’m asking? Where can I report / dispute it with eBay?
P-S : eBay’s return management, sorry, but it’s utterly worthless. I have more than 1000 eBay sales or purchases and this is the first time this has happened to me!
