Audi TT Mk1 polycarbonate rear lights

Hello, I bought 2 rear lights perfectly well packaged
Since these didn't suit me, I sent them back in the complete original packaging
Because they had to be mounted, the lenses, being made of polycarbonate, must have been very slightly surface-scratched without affecting the brightness of the lights
I am told after receipt that an amount will be deducted from me for return of the damaged product
I don't agree and I have photos of the packaging
Can I contest this?

You received a product in its original packaging (certainly sealed..)
the fact of returning it with the packaging opened and, moreover, with slight surface scratches...
shows that the product has been used and cannot be put back on sale as a new product... but as a second-hand product.... and therefore not at the same price...
The depreciation is therefore normal..
You can always try to dispute it, but if the site sides with you, it would be complicit in a defect vis-à-vis the seller....

Indeed the light was wrapped in film and sealed, but in order to install it on the vehicle, you have to open it!
I had previously taken a set of photos showing that it could be repacked as originally, and I’m sent back a photo of one of the 2 lights with a small piece of the corner broken off, and I don’t see the missing piece?
