Return not made by the buyer, eBay wants to close it in my disadvantage | Community Mentor Help

Hello, I sold a brand-new item to a buyer, and once they received the product they opened a return request because "they realize the product is incompatible with their setup once installed at home". Well, it’s a pain but okay, I tell myself I’ll probably receive an item in bad condition after it’s returned. Except that... The person never sends the item back, unable to provide a tracking number, waits until the last day of the "return authorization" period, then tells eBay that they sent the package back and that I’m the problem. And there I don’t understand, the case isn’t closed yet but eBay seems to want to automatically conclude that I’m at fault even though: 1. The customer is unable to provide a return tracking number 2. I have a screenshot showing that this same customer is reselling my product on their eBay account (the same one used to buy the item) Any suggestion? Thank you
