Secret of purchased items
Hello,
Can someone who knows my username see a brief description of the items I bought on eBay (for example, a postcard)?
Thanks in advance for your response

Mentor2 years agoHello @morane4051
No: purchased items are not visible to other members.
(and on your feedback profile, only you and the seller could see them in plain text)
Best regards

That's reassuring. I thought third parties could see even a brief description of the item purchased by checking the reviews left by sellers... Can you confirm that this is indeed impossible? The anonymity of sales is important.

Mentor2 years agoI seem to have already replied to you...
Feel free to check it yourself by taking any buyer who posted on the forum to look at their feedback profile.

Mentor2 years agoHello
The anonymity is not complete because by digging around a little, you can find 🥴
If you’re not making any sales, put your profile on private, the ratings will be confidential.

Yes, that’s still possible
But you know as well as I do: you’ll have to go through the seller’s profile, and that means being quick on the uptake and having the time to search...
(obviously it’s easier/faster when a bad review has been left 😉 )
I hadn’t thought about the private profile: you were right to point it out.
Have a nice day 🙂
