Haviland Nankin porcelain service, 70 pieces
Summary: anatole15 took part in an auction for a 70-piece porcelain service starting at €10, well below its market value, but was surprised when the seller canceled the sale and wrongly claimed it was at the buyer’s request. francexpressdeal replied by suggesting that the seller, with little experience, probably canceled the sale because the desired price was not reached, and advised contacting the seller to make a new arrangement. The exchange expresses questions about the unconventional selling practices observed on the eBay platform.

the seller canceled the sale simply because the price he was hoping for wasn’t reached.
He has a zero-profile and signed up on eBay less than 10 days ago. He clearly isn’t used to bidding on the site or the "procedures" to follow.
The easiest thing would be to contact him directly if you’re interested in this service. He may be able to relist it at a price that works for both of you.
