Hi, I recently won an auction for a laptop sitting in Germany. Seller refuses to ship it without removing the battery as he had a bad experience on this. Probably because the item wasn't properly packaged/labeled or shipped multiple items/batteries in same package.
Can anyone point me to sources from shipping services (DHL, FedEx, others) stating how to correctly ship, consumer to consumer, a laptop with a battery so he can't be assured this can be done without issues?

You're here on the eBay France forum, and you're registered in France: why post in English?
= Check on carriers' websites what is allowed or not in terms of shipping, and also do a search on the internet about any additional packaging precautions or marking/declaration requirements to make when shipping (you can find this info very easily).
Knowing that in no case will this be able to force the seller to accept a shipment (in theory it would be up to him to find out about this), and he has already told you that after a bad experience that is not his intention, so what's the point?

Because it’s allowed and it’s consistent with the request, which isn’t about France but about all the countries that receive products with batteries. And you, why are you asking the question?
Thanks for the obviously obvious advice like "won’t be able to force the seller", "so what’s the point": there was something just as obvious, though: psychology. By reassuring the seller, I convinced him to go through with the sale and everything went smoothly.
