Hello,
I am writing to you to report a violation of the sales rules on your eBay platform. The seller is offering for sale cheating devices intended for PlayStation video games, which is in contradiction with article 8.13 of the PlayStation Terms of Service (TOS).
Article 8.13 of the PlayStation TOS states the following:
"8.13. Virtual items. The terms 'Virtual Items' encompass any virtual currency, goods or items such as coins, points, tokens, gold, gems, weapons, vehicles, bonuses, upgrades, trophies, rewards, or badges.
Any attempt to obtain virtual items outside the game, the application, or PlayStation Store is strictly prohibited. Virtual items have no value or use outside the context of the game or PlayStation Store, and cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged for real money or valuable goods. In addition, virtual items are subject to changes or removal without notice.
It is strictly forbidden to facilitate or promote the collection, sale, or exchange of PlayStation Network (PSN) content, including virtual items, through cheats, technological measures, or any other method."
I have also contacted PlayStation, who informed me of their intention to open an investigation and contact you by mail. They emphasized that if this request is not handled appropriately, a complaint will be filed.
You may be wondering why I care so much about stopping this person from selling cheating devices. The reason is that I am an avid player of the game "Monster Hunter World Iceborne" on PlayStation 4. I have unfortunately encountered several players who use these cheating devices, which greatly harms my gaming experience. I managed to get in touch with one of these cheaters to understand how they had done it, and he told me he had bought these cheating services on eBay, from the seller.
I strongly encourage you to take this report seriously and act quickly to resolve this issue. For your reference, I am sending you the link to PlayStation's TOS, where you can consult article 8.13, as well as the link to the seller's profile on your eBay platform.

- it is already a positive step to alert the supplier to what is happening. Then it is up to them to do what is necessary to ensure that such actions cannot happen again (they surely must have programmers capable of putting in software that would block part of the games if it is a copy)....
As I already mentioned, any individual consumer can notify the DGCCRF of any breach of the law. Your seller may already have a case file there, and you could add fuel to the fire.
Right now, you come to eBay and you see what the "Community Manager François" tells you.. he is going to report it or make sure the listing disappears.. The effect will therefore be of little use since on the site you can create as many pseudonyms as you want and "here we go again"...
Go to the DGCCRF in your city, since the seller is officially registered as a professional.. gather other testimonies if needed and add François's reply copy there (thus indicating that eBay or at least part of its staff is aware)... That will no doubt be + effective than what you will get here...
Do not lose sight, either, that speaking well or badly is always a form of advertising for a brand... that is also why some do not want to spend millions to stop counterfeiting, since this advertising .... good or bad.... actually brings them + because it is free.

OP3 years agoStopped the mass sale of cheats on PlayStation and as I said I ran into cheaters on my favorite game

the problem is that your "fight" is lost before it even starts ... Even if this seller is banned from eBay, 10 others will have signed up offering the same cheating devices ... And surely your seller himself by simply creating another account.
