I placed a bid on an item that the seller was unable to deliver because of an ambiguous description. It is no longer possible to cancel the order; the money was indeed taken by eBay but not paid to the buyer, since the delivery dispute was reported and the money was blocked. How do I get a refund?

You will certainly be refunded when the dispute over the delivery is resolved...
But you don't say what happened, and that's a bit of a shame if you want a more detailed answer..
