Issue with a refund request
Summary: my4hjb is a seller on eBay and received a cancellation request from a buyer who placed an order by mistake. The seller has not yet shipped the item, but eBay says that an amount of €24.89 will be charged when the cancellation is accepted. my4hjb is trying to understand why this charge is required and whether it will be credited back after the refund to the buyer.

I’m a seller on eBay and I received a cancellation request from the buyer for the reason “order placed by mistake.” Right after they ordered (by accident)
The buyer requested the cancellation shortly after payment and the item was never shipped.
When I try to accept the cancellation and issue the refund, eBay tells me that an amount of €24.89 will be charged to my bank card, even though the order was not sent.
I’d like to understand why this charge is necessary and to know whether this amount will be credited back to me once the refund is processed or when the sale funds become available.

Contact Customer Service here----> eBay Customer Service
Preferably contact them during office hours, and ask to be called back..
