Suggestion for being able to disable the live eBay thumbnails on the eBay app home page on Android
Summary: briale expresses frustration about the eBay app, which is now flooded with unsolicited eBay Live content from users. They are asking for an option to hide this content, as it harms the user experience. lingma85 suggests a temporary workaround: bookmark another search page to avoid the cluttered home page.
Since the latest updates, the eBay app has become increasingly flooded with eBay Live content. The home page is now saturated with thumbnails, videos, and promotional content that many users never asked to see.
What’s most frustrating is that there is no option to hide or disable this content. Why force this feature on all users? A modern app should offer choices, not make certain services that only concern part of its community permanently visible.
I come to eBay to buy, sell, and manage my listings, not to be constantly exposed to eBay Live promotions. This strategy degrades the user experience, clutters the interface unnecessarily, and distracts the app from its main purpose.
It’s time for eBay to listen to its users and add a simple option to remove or hide eBay Live thumbnails from the home page. As long as this option doesn’t exist, the app will remain less pleasant and less effective than it could be.
Thank you for taking this feedback into account, as it is shared by many users.

OP1 week agoThanks, but this doesn't work when using the app on an Android mobile phone.
We only have the option to launch the app, which still always opens on the home screen.

To browse eBay and/or search for an item, you don't need the home page...
bookmark any search results page... and log in with that page...
Best regards
