Package tracking that isn't moving

I placed an order on December 3rd, item located in the United States in Portland.
It made a whole detour through Chicago, and so on, and for several days now, the package status hasn’t changed; it says it arrived at the delivery center in Illinois, and is "under inspection". I’d like to know if anyone has ever had this status and what it means..It’s an order for Christmas and I really hope it will be there on time. The most worrying thing is that on the official USPS site, when I enter the tracking number, it is outright shown as delivered.

Contact the seller...
It’s up to them to find out what happened, because your parcel’s journey looks a bit complicated...
