additional VAT charges on a package arriving from the USA

good evening

I was just notified by email of a message from the post office asking me to pay an import tax of €111 even though I made my purchase via eBay

so I paid the shipping costs and the VAT and other taxes through the site

so what can I do to avoid having to pay this amount again on top of that ??

We’ll need to sort out the carrier and ask eBay for a refund of the VAT paid twice
