the item I sold was not delivered on time (more than 15 days late), and the buyer wanted to cancel their order because the item was not delivered to them. Without any further information, I refunded the buyer but is the item lost? What is the process to get it back or have eBay reimburse me? thanks for your help

"the item is lost" = carrier failure
so it is with them that a claim must be filed in order to be compensated.
