VAT on eBay = customs fees?
Summary: virgcolar-0 wonders about the potential additional fees when delivering an item bought in the United States, despite an initial mention of "no additional fees." *miss-tigri* advises that there could be customs clearance fees not paid in advance and shares a link for more information. francexpressdeal suggests having the seller include the IOSS number to avoid paying import VAT.
Hello,
I bought an item from the USA, on the sales page it said "no additional charges upon delivery," the seller made me a more interesting offer on the small insert there was an asterisk at the bottom saying there could be charges upon delivery... but nothing more on the final invoice... The final invoice shows price, shipping, VAT e bay : the seller sends it by USPS ,do you think I will have additional charges upon delivery?
Thanks in advance.
Virginie

in addition to the answer from @*miss-tigri* (Good evening Miss 🙂 ), tell your seller to make sure the IOSS number is clearly indicated on the shipment so you don’t have to pay VAT again on import.

I think the carrier will ask you for the customs clearance fees, which are not paid in advance..
