Hello,As a private seller, I’m getting a bit fed up with some buyers asking to cancel their purchase. What’s more, there isn’t even a message explaining the cancellation, just the eBay notification of the cancellation request.Apparently the seller can accept or refuse the buyer’s cancellation request. On my side, I want to refuse my buyer’s request. My reasons are obvious: in the event of a cancellation, I lose the potential buyers who were following the item because if I relist it, I have to start over with a new listing. In addition, by accepting the buyer’s cancellation, I have money coming out of my pocket before the sale is credited to me, because eBay doesn’t credit the sale money immediately.In the listing, I stated that I do not accept returns. So I was wondering if the buyer would win if they made a return request for the item on the grounds that they had initially requested a cancellation? Am I protected as a seller?Thanks for your replies.
