A new device is using your account ".... Really??
Summary: elly91 expresses frustration about "new device" alert notifications when logging into their account, even though they always use the same devices. They point out that these emails are unnecessary and consume energy, and ask that their message be passed on to the developers to resolve this issue.
Hello,
Since I can’t write directly to the developers, I’m airing my grievance here.
I’ve been logging into my account in 3 different ways for years, always the same ones : a desktop tower, a laptop, a phone. With two-factor authentication using my mobile phone. My devices are the same too.
I’m beyond fed up with getting, every single time, an email telling me that a "new device is using [my] account"..
What can I do to get rid of this notification, which is both useless and inaccurate ???
Keeping in mind that useless emails create data that uses energy, I’d like those who have access to the developers to pass along my message.
Thanks in advance.
Have a good weekend.

Mentor3 weeks agoHello @elly91
nobody here has "access" to the developers. The people posting on this forum are eBay members just like you.
Regarding your problem, you need to register your devices as trusted devices. See this link:
Tips for preserving the security of your eBay account | eBay
I quote: "If the message "Remember this device" appears when you sign in using two-step verification, you can select the link to add the device as a trusted device. The next time you sign in using the trusted device, you may not be prompted to complete two-step verification, but your account will still be secure."
