A buyer who doesn’t come to pick up her item...
Summary: valdus18 shares a frustrating experience with a buyer who, after accepting an offer and exchanging several messages, decides to cancel and then accept the purchase again. In the end, despite the package having been sent, the buyer initially refuses to pick it up before changing her mind at the last minute. koalagris advises that not picking up the package could cause the buyer to lose the benefit of eBay's buyer protection. The situation is eventually resolved when the buyer picks up the package.
Hi, have you ever had this situation? A buyer makes me an offer that I accept, she’s thrilled, and not stingy with messages telling me all about her life; well, then she asks to cancel, then changes her mind again and says no cancellation, so trusting I send the parcel by registered mail +++, and the lady tells me no, she won’t go pick it up and it will be sent back to me... grrrr
And since she’s very upset about her personal situation..blah blah blah...
How is this story going to end, I’ve never had this case before...
If you have any advice...?

Mentor1 year agoHi,
If the buyer doesn’t go pick up their parcel, they lose the benefit of eBay’s buyer protection guarantee:
https://www.ebay.fr/help/policies/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy/rglement-de-la-garantie-client-ebay?id=4210&st=3&pos=1&query=R%C3%A8glement%20de%20la%20Garantie%20client%20eBay&intent=exclusions%20garantie%20ebay&lucenceai=lucenceai&docId=HELP1238#section2
So it’s not in their interest.
Best regards
