an account with few or no seller ratings...
an account that hasn't been active for.. X months/ years...
brand-new items such as TVs/phones/brand-name watches/and.. at very low prices and sold singly or in quantity...
a request for an email address...
a proposal to pay by card or another method not provided for on the site...
etc... etc...
That's the recipe for getting ripped off...
Given that Christmas is on December 25th.. and that sellers on the site are struggling to make a living... it's obvious that any gift involving such products is a scam in the making...
Here, as on all sales sites... you have to be wary/vigilant and avoid all these generous and more-than-suspicious sellers.
As for checking... forget it...
Take to your heels and run away... that'll certainly be the best solution.
