Delivery validation
I sent a package that was received by the buyer. I forgot to enter the package tracking number on eBay. Is it mandatory to add it to release the funds from a sale? Because the buyer confirmed to me by text message that they had received it.

It's not mandatory but the payment may be faster

YES.. you need to indicate the tracking number on the transaction..
That's a major reason for releasing funds (this allows ebay to check the package's route in case of a claim..)
Private contacts are not tracked by the site.
