Hello, the item was up for auction with a starting price of 1 euro, I place my bid at 120 euros, shortly before the auction ended, the seller simply cancels my bid, without giving any reason (no message, no reason stated on the item listing). (Besides, I was the only one who had bid on it.) When you click on the item number, it says "The seller ended this sale, because the item is no longer available". What are we supposed to make of that? Was it sold elsewhere? Was it not sold because the price wasn't satisfactory for the seller? Was it destroyed in a tsunami? I took the time to send a message to the seller to explain that this does not comply with the site's terms & conditions and that if the item is to be sold at a certain price, say one that is satisfactory for the seller, then they should use a starting price that works for them (and not 1 euro), or choose the "buy it now" option with a fixed price, or set up a "reserve price" (which makes it possible to start an auction at 1 euro while preventing the item from being sold if the final bid does not exceed a certain price, set by the seller). I would have liked to file a complaint, or at least send a message to eBay, but it's impossible to find the "contact" section, let alone the "dispute" section. So I'm asking the question here, what are the possible remedies? Thank you for your help.
