hello, I made my first international sale (from France to Canada) normally I only do it in the EU so I’ve never had this "problem"
but so eBay is asking me to fill out a "customs declaration" when I create the shipping label
eBay is then asking me to fill in "identity" and "eBay transaction number"
identity -> what do I put? do I enter the "document number" shown on my French ID card? or is it another number?
eBay transaction number -> is that the order number I find when I click "show order details"?

in the link you sent me, you have to enter shipping costs, in my form there isn't a box for shipping costs, where can I declare the shipping costs? and do I declare the total shipping amount (€20) or only what the buyer paid (€8) or what I paid out of pocket (€20-8= €12)?
regarding the price I declare for the product I'm selling, (let's say I sold a jacket for €50 and the buyer also paid €10 in shipping) in the "item value" box do I declare the price at which I sold the item (€50) or do I also add the shipping cost the buyer paid? (so 50+10 = €60)

I don't use this type of document at all when I make a sale outside the EU, but the postal CN23 form.
So, it's hard for me to give you precise information.
Either another contributor will help you, or try contacting eBay customer service.
