Summary: raceelm shares a frustrating experience as a seller on eBay, where after selling a book to a German buyer, they still haven’t received payment despite confirmation that the package was delivered. They explain that the buyer is talking about "validation" and other formalities, but raceelm feels poorly supported by the eBay platform and warns other sellers. *miss-tigri* responds by explaining that, for new sellers, payments can be held for at least 21 days, regardless of any buyer validation.
I’m sharing my experience to warn other sellers on eBay.
I sold a book to a German buyer, SKODI265 . The package was received properly, but despite that my money is still blocked and the situation is becoming incomprehensible. The buyer is talking to me about “validation,” positive feedback, and procedures, while I have neither my book nor my payment.
I provided the shipping information and tried to contact support, but the platform is very complicated and I feel it does a poor job of protecting sellers in this kind of situation.
What I mainly want is to warn others:
* keep all shipping proof;
* always use recognized tracking;
* be wary of buyers who pile on confusing explanations;
* contact support quickly if payment remains blocked after delivery.
Honestly, this experience makes me more confident in simpler platforms like **bleep** for direct sales.
If other people have gone through the same thing or have advice on getting the money back faster, I’m all ears.

Stop the paranoia and do your research ..
As a new seller, your payments remain blocked for a minimum of 21 days ..

Nothing to do with any kind of validation
