Payment of proceeds from a sale
Summary: herault34 is looking for advice on the immediate selling process on eBay after receiving emails asking for a valuable item to be sent. francexpressdeal suspects it’s a scam attempt because the item is still for sale and recommends contacting customer service. *miss-tigri* advises favoring in-person handover for expensive items, warning beginner sellers about the risk of scams.
Can someone tell me the process in the case of an immediate purchase? I received 2 emails from eBay informing me that I have received funds for a sale and that I need to send the item first. This is my first experience via eBay and I’m wary because this is a valuable item and a fairly large amount. Thanks in advance to those who will help me understand the process and tell me how I can possibly make sure it’s not a scam.Have a good weekend everyone

Above all, don’t send anything ... Beginner seller, you’re the perfect sucker 🤔
If it’s something valuable, prefer selling it with in-person handoff and payment at that time.

Mentor11 months agoHello @herault34
there is currently no successful sale on your account.
If these messages concern the gold watch at 6000 euros, it is highly likely that there is an attempt at fraud since this watch is still for sale.
Contact customer service to get things checked out:
