Transfer received for an item already sold
Summary: magmaz06240 received a payment of €1,000 by mistake for an air conditioner that was no longer for sale. The money is being held by eBay and cannot be transferred without their IBAN. Despite many emails to eBay, the issue remains unresolved. lingma85 advises asking the buyer to follow a procedure to get help on eBay. magmaz06240 insists that no commission should be owed since nothing was sold.

a buyer mistakenly paid me 1000e for the purchase of an air conditioner that was no longer for sale
the money is blocked on my EBAY account, ebay can't transfer it to my current account because I haven't provided my IBAN
I don't want this money
I sent dozens of emails to Ebay, they won't do anything
it's outrageous because the buyer obviously needs that money
does anyone know how to solve this problem
I refuse to give my IBAN
I asked EBAY to send me a link to refuse the sale, nothing has been done
needless to say that once the problem is resolved I will no longer be one of EBay's users, I'll stay on amazon, much more fair and responsive

Simply have your buyer do what’s in this link-------> Get help with an item that hasn’t arrived | eBay
when the expected delivery date has passed.
Send them the link so they can do what’s needed.
Ebay will refund them what they paid.
But be careful with the deadlines.... = ... this can only be effective within 30 days after the expected delivery date.
As for you... you will owe the site a commission...

The buyer didn’t pay you "personally"... but paid eBay, which is a difference.

The fact that you forgot to remove the air conditioner from sale changes nothing: it was indeed sold on the site (It doesn't appear in your successful sales by magic).
Now, why not just have canceled this sale yourself?
