I bought an inverter for my solar system a little over a year ago. It stopped working. It came with a 2-year warranty. The seller is ignoring me. Is there anything I can do? It cost 400 euros, so a lot of money for me

If it’s a pro seller in France, send them a formal notice by registered letter (their contact details are on their eBay profile and at the bottom of their listings), and if they refuse to apply the warranty, you should contact the fraud authorities (DGCCRF).

OP1 year agothe seller on ebay is still selling. sorry french is not my native language, may I just ask. 1. do I have to return the item with the notice. 2. is there a template for the notice. the company is based in China according to the address on the listing but I think it comes from a warehouse in the EU. I tried contacting ebay for help but I haven't heard back from them. they're probably very busy. I just want this to be resolved because winter is coming and I need to use this inverter every day for lighting. thank you for your help

Mentor1 year agono after-sales service or warranty (and therefore no recourse) if the seller is in China.
no point contacting ebay: the dispute period on the site is 30 days from the delivery date, no more...

OP1 year agoFrench company (it was also made in China, oddly enough) but
they didn't have any in stock when we decided on a second
system. now I regret not waiting 🙈

OP1 year agoI just found the invoice, and it’s from Germany, not China. Does Germany have the same rules as France 🤞
