eBay, the big crash!?
Summary: seraphin13640 expresses disappointment with eBay, noting a decline in visitor and buyer engagement compared to its peak years. They lament the loss of personal interaction, replaced by impersonal AI, and worry about the future of human connections. Despite being a loyal user and experiencing the site's successful days, they are skeptical about eBay's potential revival but still hold a faint hope.
Ebay, the big collapse!? Far fewer visitors, so fewer and fewer buyers, unless perhaps you're Pokémon collectors or fans of those live selling sites that are taking over the web at the expense of traditional sellers. No more direct contact with a .... human being, but with a stupid machine, an AI with absolutely no empathy (so is this the future of humanity?!). A loyal customer from the start, I knew periods rich in sales and human contact, and I sadly see that this site, which was once so brilliant, is now nothing more than a soulless machine and has become only the shadow of itself. People can say whatever they want to explain the cause, but the reality is there, shared by everyone who knew eBay's glory days, and there is no ambiguity about it. Should we believe in a comeback to come? I doubt it, but as the saying goes, hope keeps us going. JP
