Ebay sales legislation
Summary: chatellois62 seeks clarification on French tax regulations for online sales via platforms like eBay, questioning if taxes apply to individuals or households when exceeding €2000 in sales or 30 transactions. francexpressdeal responds by noting that exceeding these thresholds obligates platforms to report financial information to the tax authorities, referring to the EU DAC7 directive and platform transparency laws.
Hello everyone, if someone knows the subject, I’d like to know how taxation applies in France to sales on various platforms including Ebay. I read that you may have to declare it to the tax authorities if you exceed 2,000 euros in annual sales and/or 30 transactions. Do these taxes apply to the user or to the tax household, and what are the consequences if you exceed either of the 2,000/30 transaction criteria?
Thanks in advance for your help; for now I’m suspending my sales because of this.

·3 weeks agoGood evening @chatellois62
as soon as you go over either €2000 or 30 transactions, the platforms are required to report these amounts to the tax authorities.
Take a look at this link:

OP3 weeks agoThank you very much for this info, my wife and I each having a different tax number, we can conclude that each person can sell up to 2000 without having to declare it then. Best regards.
