Sizes of tights and stockings 3, 5, 6, 7 and other concerns
Summary: enmodeglam is having a problem with sock and tights sizes on eBay, as they can no longer use certain numeric sizes in their listings. Despite attempts to contact customer service, the problem persists. lingma85 suggested using a standard form, but that didn’t solve the issue. lamodejurassienne2013 shared a similar experience, where eBay caused errors by forcing size changes to comply with European standards. They’re trying to figure out whether other sellers are running into similar problems.
Hello,
I'm running into a problem with stocking and tights sizes on eBay and I'm trying to find out whether other sellers are in the same situation.
In my seller interface, when I create or edit a stocking/tights listing, some numeric sizes are now no longer available and I can no longer enter my sizes manually. I can see 1, 2, 4, then sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, etc., but no more size 3, 5 or 6.
The problem is especially annoying for my old listings: they were created before this change and include manufacturer sizes 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. So they keep showing those sizes as long as I don't edit them. But as soon as I want to edit a listing, eBay forces me to remove the sizes that are no longer offered in the menu, and as a result I lose my entire sales history.....
Yet I can currently see new stocking and tights listings, including Dior ones, that appear with size 3.
So I don't understand the situation:
Are other sellers still able to create a new listing with sizes 3, 5 or 6 in the "Size" field?
Or is there a way I don't know about to create listings with these sizes again?
If you sell stockings/tights right now, could you tell me which numeric sizes appear today in your seller menu?
Thanks in advance for your feedback, because I simply want to understand whether the problem is general or whether it only affects my account.
Of course I'm contacting customer service, but I'm not getting a response to my emails. As for the chats, they regularly end with: "I'm escalating your case and a manager will get back to you within 48 hours", but in practice, I still have no response.
That's why I'm coming to the forum: I'd just like to know whether other sellers are experiencing the same problem with stocking and tights sizes, or whether this situation only affects my account.
And unfortunately that's not the only problem I'm currently facing: my delivery times have also been extended, even though I should normally appear in green like some competing sellers and I'm still Top Rated.
I find all these differences pretty hard to understand, which is why I'm posting on the forum. If other sellers can confirm what they're currently seeing in their interface, especially for sizes 3, 5 and 6, it would help me a lot to determine whether this is a general eBay change or a specific problem with my account.

·1 week agoGood evening
Regarding sizes, there are clothing brands such as LOUISE DELLA or even DECA, DOUBLE JEU that listed sizes 0, 1, 2… and yesterday eBay flagged 87 listings because of size errors that don’t comply with the European standard… I had to edit the listings one by one by indicating XS, S, M… or 36, 38, 40… It was very long and tedious, and since the listings are not recent, it’s possible that I still have some « EEC non-approved » sizes…

OP6 days agoHello, thanks for your reply, yes I’ve also corrected who knows how many listings, more than 300, but I’ve also lost the entire sales history for the modified sizes. Thanks anyway for your reply, where I can see I’m not the only one who was affected.

See if by using this form----->
Use the standard selling form | eBay
you can get around this change made by the site to the size of your stockings.
Kind regards
.

OP1 week agoThanks but it's the same thing, it's the form I use and unfortunately I'm forced to delete all my sizes 3, 5, 6 and 7 from my listings and so lose my sales history, tracking, etc. On the other hand I'd like to know how some sellers still manage to post stockings in size 3 for example. If anyone has a solution I'm interested because my listings end up looking like nothing when I create a multi-item listing with sizes: 2, M, and 4
