Seller does not respond to messages
Hello, I'm having a functionality issue with an item I bought on eBay. I've contacted the seller several times but they aren't replying. I'm very worried because the product warranty is about to expire. What can you advise me to do? eBay customer service as well as the manufacturer advise me to turn to the seller, but they are turning a deaf ear.

·1 month agoHello ,
With this seller, don't go easy on him!! after making several complaints in writing, put this seller in dispute and a case will be opened, Ebay support will pay more attention to your matter.. report this seller to Ebay as a scammer!! after that you can leave him negative feedback.

You write----> "put this seller in dispute a case will be opened the Ebay support team will pay more attention to your case"
this "advice" makes no sense...
before jumping in headfirst... read the whole message and especially
this-----> "the product warranty is about to expire"
This is a warranty matter... which means that Ebay's 30-day intervention period after delivery is long past.. therefore the site will not get involved...
It has become an off-site matter.. between a regular seller and a buyer...

·1 month agoSo, don't complain, do nothing! are you expecting it to fall from the sky, all ready-made, fight with the tools you have available, you're a newbie on ebay!? report this seller!! he'll do the same thing to other buyers..
Once the warranty is over, what are you going to do?

Since you're so worked up...
what would you do to "fight" against a
foreign seller
regarding a warranty nearing the end of its validity... ?
outside the site since "the buyer protection" is no longer usable...
You also write------>
- " put this seller in dispute a case will be opened the eBay service will pay more attention to your case"
We can only open a dispute during the 30 days following receipt of the purchase....
that seems to me ---> mission impossible...
It would be good to give your advice on this subject... with the idea that the amount of the fees does not exceed the value of the so-called guaranteed equipment....
Thank you for your reply and your advice.
Regards
.

·1 month agoIf you're arriving at the end of the validity period, does that mean you waited without previously taking any legal steps with eBay's support?
There are countries to avoid for buying ... is this a pro seller? I don't know if eBay will allow you to send me their site or username so I can go take a look....I'd like to help you...

You write-->
"eBay customer service as well as the manufacturer advise me to turn to the seller, but he is turning a deaf ear."
but you don't give the status of this seller--->
private individual
- French pro
- foreign pro...
(delete the unnecessary mention...)
Thank you for the reply.

·1 month agoI kind of suspected as much...
I'm afraid you'll have to give up any idea of getting any kind of warranty to actually work... a warranty in name only, with no follow-up..
It's a classic... !
If the item has to be repaired.. it will only be at your expense, for sure...
Best regards

OP1 month agoOn the other hand, I find it unacceptable that eBay customer service does nothing about this, unlike Amazon for example, which at least cares about customer satisfaction. Especially since before buying this item I had checked the customer reviews and this seller was rather well rated. That’s it, I won’t order anything through eBay anymore, very disappointed with my purchase from the seller and from eBay. Thank you for getting back to me.
