I'm back here because I couldn't find the "trust and safety department" you mentioned above.
In the "help" section of my Ebay search bar, I only have tips for checking whether my account has been hacked... which is absolutely not the case.
What’s happening here is a trojan attack. Like when you go (well, maybe not you, I have no idea 😎) to a streaming site and you launch a video on a player that has security flaws... You get a trojan attack when the player starts up.
On Ebay, there’s a trojan on the sellers page and I’m guessing it’s like the player on the streaming site: the page itself is infected, or one element on the page... but like with the player, the problem is at the level of the page’s link encoding.
So is there someone we can contact at ebay who is authorized to fix this?
Because when browsing over https, we shouldn’t have this kind of problem unless the site is corrupted or uses corrupted tags...

For eBay’s “Trust and Safety” department, it doesn’t matter which help page you use. Even if its topic doesn’t match your problem exactly. As long as it’s about security, you’ll be in the right place. So the page you saw was fine.

you’re the first to report this. So the best thing to do is to contact the site’s “Trust and Safety” department and review with them the pages you visited.
