Buyer refund even though they received the product
Summary: aeroelipse mistakenly sent the wrong item to a buyer and, to make it right, decided to let them keep that item and ship the correct one. However, the buyer did not confirm receipt of the second item promptly, leading aeroelipse to open a dispute. Ebay closed the dispute by refunding the buyer, leaving aeroelipse with no compensation and no way to contact support to explain the situation. frelonverre suggested that it would have been better to issue a refund from the start.
A buyer takes an item,
I send it quickly, and he tells me the item doesn't match.
He sends me a photo, yes indeed the item doesn't match.
I had two almost identical items, with a similar name.
The cost of return (and of the initial shipment + the shipment of the correct item) ends up costing more than the item itself.
I decide to let him keep the item, and send him the right one. (I have tracking for both items).
The buyer takes a long time to confirm receipt of the second item, so I open a dispute since my pending payments for other items were blocked.
Ebay validates the dispute and closes it, refunding the buyer.
Bottom line: the buyer has 2 items of mine, for which he was refunded the purchase....
and the support menus are so well designed that you can't contact anyone at Ebay to explain the situation.
I'm being screwed over by the customer and by Ebay.
What can I do?

there was nothing left to do, you should have left the first item and refunded
