Motorized gate actuator
Summary: andr3664 bought a gate actuator with a one-year warranty, but it broke down after six months and the seller isn’t responding. koalagris says Ebay has a 30-day dispute period from delivery, while *miss-tigri* suggests going after the seller directly. tytan-d2-71 and frelonverre point out that Ebay isn’t responsible, and that it’s better to contact the manufacturer for the warranty. rosedebretagne recommends buying within the European Union to benefit from a longer warranty. red71-2011 advises looking into insurance coverage to deal with this breakdown.
I bought a gate actuator, 1-year warranty, and the actuator stopped working after 6 months.
The seller no longer answers me and eBay is turning a deaf ear.
Yet eBay is still responsible for sales on this site.
I’m going to have to take legal action.

·2 years agoGreetings everyone,
So yes, after six months of use, it’s the warranty you need to check.
And if the warranty doesn’t cover the cause of the failure of your cylinder, you may want to check your liability insurance and its coverage as well.
Because paying for insurance and never using it when you need it... Right! ^^

·2 years agohello ,
it is important to buy within the union because the warranty is generally at least two years, and the seller is within your reach. what is certain is that if there is a problem, it is up to them to go after the manufacturer, it works in a chain: suppose the seller had bought from a wholesaler, the seller is your point of contact who should turn to their wholesaler, who in turn turns to the manufacturer.

eBay is responsible for nothing, it just puts a seller and a buyer in touch, that's all
before talking about "going to court," keep in mind that replacing the part at your own expense will be cheaper than court costs

·2 years agoHello,
The seller isn't at fault. Ebay isn't either.
You used the jack for six months; it's the manufacturer's warranty you need to check, and it's up to the manufacturer to compensate you.
🙂
