Buyer who does not provide an economical delivery address.
Summary: mjkxgy expresses concerns about two buyers who pay for economy delivery but do not provide a delivery address. For one of them, the author has to locate a nearby pickup point, while for the other, who lives in the Canary Islands, the order needs to be canceled because Mondial Relay does not deliver there. The author suggests that eBay should require buyers to provide a pickup point address, an email address, and a phone number to make it easier to notify them when parcels are available.
Hello, I’m dealing with two buyers this week who want and pay for an economy delivery but who haven’t provided a delivery address.
For the first buyer I look at where they live and it’s up to me to find a pickup point near them, to avoid them having to travel far. That’s nice of me, since they don’t answer my message asking them to give me an address.
For the second one who lives in the Canary Islands (Spain), Mondial Relay doesn’t deliver there but they chose that delivery anyway, so I’m going to have to cancel. I think this person is dishonest because they must know that Mondial Relay doesn’t exist where they live.
Anyway, in addition to the time lost there is the risk of a negative rating if I cancel.
So my wish is that Ebay require buyers to provide the pickup address for an economy delivery service + an email address and a phone number so that the delivery service can notify the buyer when the parcel is available.

·1 month agoCanaries are indeed a problem. It’s recurring, but it’s not serious. You need to ask the customer for the difference and, if they don’t reply, cancel. For the first case, the best thing is to call Ebay to get instructions to follow that can’t be held against you.
