Item bought on eBay arrived damaged returned to the seller never got refunded
Summary: dadupo_25 shares a frustrating experience with a purchase on eBay where a vending machine bought in the United States arrived damaged. After returning the item, the refund was never issued because of an error when closing the return request. Despite advice from one participant urging them to contact customer service, dadupo_25 says they struggle with technology and decides not to use eBay anymore. Another participant notes that closing the claim puts an end to any chance of a refund.
well here's a nice scam, I bought an automated device in the USA for a sum of 134 dollars which includes shipping costs, I received this item completely damaged, the seller supposedly declared the object broken, I proceeded with returning it, it was indeed delivered, by checking the tracking a battery problem in the PC mouse occurred after replacing this battery, by clicking the mouse I closed the return request by mistake, since then nothing, not even a refund, I feel scammed, done for me, eBay is over, they know how to take their commission on our transactions but when it comes to the refund they are, as always, nowhere to be found, since 25.11.2024 still nothing

·1 year ago@dadupo_25 well, you’re not having much luck there
ebay is a big machine with well-established rules, breaking them means ending up in a real mess, you closed it, that’s the end of it

·1 year agoHello
You yourself say that you closed the request by mistake ....
Had you contacted customer service at that time ?
Given the time limits, no action is possible on ebay, only the seller can show honesty (if the item did indeed make it back to them) .

OP1 year agoyes, the item was indeed returned to him, but the seller no longer responds, so there’s clearly no intention of refunding it. Listen, thanks for everything !!!! I understood perfectly well that I’m the one left holding the bag. Best regards
