I made a purchase on ebay US, and asked for it to be sent to my address in the USA. The package was sent via USPS, the public postal service in the USA, the equivalent of La Poste in France. They use subcontractors, for reasons I don't know. The package was given to a third party for final delivery. USPS declares the shipment delivered as soon as the package is entrusted to this third party. The package never reached me. Since then I have hit wall after wall. I disputed ebay's decision, opened a dispute via paypal, called USPS, nothing worked. Package declared delivered, even though the tracking clearly says "delivered to third party agent for final delivery". A little too easy... USPS won't even tell me which company was used! In short, I lost everything, the item and the money, and to make things worse, the seller doesn't care at all, he doesn't even reply to my messages, and had the negative review I left about his lack of involvement removed. One piece of advice: ask for delivery by a private carrier with a signature!
