International package arrived after the refund
Summary: victorvonfatalis sold an item sent to Mexico that was lost until mid-May, which led to a dispute where the buyer was refunded. The parcel was then found and delivered, but the buyer did not pay back victorvonfatalis, despite promises in July. Contact with eBay did not solve the problem, leaving victorvonfatalis with no solution and a loss of €300. *miss-tigri* commented that the only solution would be for the buyer to voluntarily reimburse them, but there is no guarantee.
I sold and sent an item to Mexico at the end of February, and it was lost until mid-May. In the meantime, the buyer filed a dispute and was refunded. La Poste searched for the package with the Mexican authorities and it was eventually delivered a few days later, confirmed by the buyer. When it resurfaced, I could no longer contest the dispute. I contacted the buyer, who dragged things out until June before paying me at the beginning of July, but hasn’t replied since. Of course I asked eBay for help and ended up on the phone with someone who didn’t understand the situation and who, moreover, wasn’t inclined to help me. Same by message, I was still getting replies last week and since then nothing, despite 3 follow-ups. In this case I’m losing €300 and no longer know what to do or who to contact for help. Filing an international complaint will lead nowhere and eBay’s help is deplorable, unless you happen to know someone competent there.

·2 years agoHello
From the moment the buyer has been refunded, the only way to get the money back is for him to give it back to you, because ebay can no longer recover that money.
It’s between the buyer and you. If he’s not honest, it’s gone 😞
