Dishonest description of an iPhone 12 mini sold on Ebay
Summary: delpla38 shares their bad experience buying an iPhone 12 mini on eBay, which turned out to be locked, even though that detail wasn’t mentioned in the listing. Despite multiple attempts to contact the seller, no response was received. lingma85 advises delpla38 to open a dispute on eBay and provides a link to return the product in order to get a refund. delpla38 thanks them for the help and plans to follow this advice.
Good evening,
I wanted to tell you about my situation to recommend that you be especially vigilant regarding your purchases on Ebay.
On June 15, I bought, via an auction, an iPhone 12 mini on the site. I was badly mistaken.
The device was described on Ebay as "Apple iPhone 12 mini - 256 GB - Blue (Unlocked)".
When I received it, I realized that the phone was locked. I couldn't turn it on. The seller assured me, in his only reply message (when I told him about my problem), "everything was clearly stated in the listing that the phone was locked, there was no hidden defect." That was not the reality. So I sent the iPhone back to a professional so he could inspect it. He assured me "that this iPhone required an iCloud password" or an IMEI. Things I was not aware of. My messages to this seller "a433-14" were never answered. Don't be as naive as I was! Demand proof of purchase for your buys on eBay. and I recommend validating transactions only if item returns are allowed.
I am extremely disappointed and will no longer buy on this platform.

·2 years agoHello to @delpla38
If..
- you have not opened a dispute or a procedure on eBay
- you are within the 30-day period after delivery.... ( beware, deadline is mandatory..)
Do what is in this link------> Return an item for a refund | eBay
Be careful about the conditions I indicated at the beginning of the message.
Best regards
