Mondial Relay weight difference
hello
mondial relay is charging me €51.47 for a weight discrepancy on 11 parcels!! unjustified (parcels averaging 0.5 kg) claim of 1.6 kg to 2.44 kg, I had to pay in order to keep being able to post them
a real racket 😫
I think I'm not the only one

·1 year agoI had one too, a bubble envelope weighing a maximum of 150 grams that supposedly weighed 5kg050^^
I didn't pay and I filed a complaint, attaching photos of the Ebay sale (a little necklace), invoice, etc.
To avoid being blocked while waiting, since the €6.50 penalty being claimed was indeed being automatically added to my bill, I simply created another Mondial relay account with another email address.
It might be time for all the smart-alecks who don't declare the true weight of their parcels to pay less, on the pretext that Mondial relay doesn't weigh parcels at the start and trusts users, to look at themselves in the mirror. It may not be innocent if the fines suddenly start raining down...

·10 months agoMy experience today...
Pro, Ebay sale, label created on the Mondial Relay website, I hand the parcel over to the relay point at around 3:30 p.m. and at 5 p.m. I receive a surreal email from Mondial Relay asking me to pay an additional 2.50 euros for an error in the parcel weight. I had declared 780 grams and they find more than 2 kilos. I called the relay point, which confirmed to me that that was not possible because the parcel is in a bag with the other parcels and does not leave until tomorrow morning, so no one has weighed it since I dropped it off an hour earlier. So I called Mondial Relay and there it was like the fourth dimension because the online advisor assured me that my parcel weighed well over 2 kilos and that I had to pay this amount. For a parcel that is in a bag with its buddies at the bakery at the end of my street, they really are impressive. Obviously I could have made a mistake, but such a weight for 8 folding knives is just not possible.I'll see what happens next; if my Mondial Relay account gets blocked or if they refuse to deliver the parcel to me, I'll pay the 2.50, a symbolic amount, but for now I'm making this a matter of principle.

There have already been testimonials to that effect:

·1 year agoHello,
It happens to me too from time to time, always with a huge difference on top of that (once a little 7cm Majorette car, Mondial Relay found nearly 2kg!). The scale has no problem...
Unfortunately, I have never managed to get a refund.
I go through Mondial Relay via eBay import.
In my opinion, all of this is automated in the sorting centers and no one checks behind it. 😩

don't ship through packlink ( ebay platform ) print your labels on the carrier's website and then import your ebay sales from there
several people have complained about similar issues

well then, change scales
I ship far fewer parcels than you, but I’ve never had this problem

·1 year agoNot very subtle, the response... I sent a 150-gram bubble mailer and they claim my package weighed more than 5 kg. Would you believe my scale wasn’t off by 4.9 kg...
