I have a question about shipping fees and customs duties.
Recently I bought an item on eBay. After the purchase, the seller offered to let me pay a few extra euros so the package would arrive faster. ( shipping was free until now ).
I accepted because, weak man that I am, I didn't have the patience to wait two months to receive it.
But the question I have is: won't there be any problems with customs?
eBay automatically calculates and applies VAT for us. That includes the item's price and the shipping fees. But since I bought extra shipping after paying for the item, won't that cause a problem? It's a bit like I bought two things separately in the end.
( Knowing that in any case, I already paid VAT for both since eBay does it automatically, except that here it's separate )
